Rob Mazurek (EUA)
Rob Mazurek é um prolífico músico e artista plástico, incluindo no seu trabalho elementos do jazz, electrónica, ritmos latinos, noise e rock. Em 2013 foi capa da The Wire e em 2015 foi eleito trompetista do ano pela prestigiada El Intruso. No nosso país é presença regular no Jazz em Agosto, tendo sido em diferentes edições acompanhado por figuras históricas como o trompetista Bill Dixon ou Pharoah Sanders, saxofonista que acompanhou John Coltrane em vários projectos.
Mazurek divide-se entre a cena musical fervilhante de Chicago e os ritmos do Brasil, onde viveu entre 2000 e 2005. As suas colaborações estendem-se a diferentes áreas, desde nomes consagrados do jazz como Roscoe Mitchell, Yusef Lateef e Steve Swell, a projectos como Tortoise, Godspeed You! Black Emperor e Stereolab.
Cornetista excepcional, Rob Mazurek apresenta-se no Solilóquios com o trompete piccolo, que utilizou pela primeira vez num álbum - Chimeric Stoned Horn - que será lançado ainda este mês, a 29 de setembro.

Dominique Pifarély (França)
Dominique Pifarély (Bègles, 1957), é um dos mais importantes violinistas europeus, destacando-se como compositor e virtuoso de raros recursos técnicos. Colaborador habitual de Louis Sclavis, tem-se afirmado com o seu próprio quarteto, como é o caso do álbum Time Geography, que figurou nos melhores do ano para vários críticos, como Rui Eduardo Paes, editor da Jazz.pt. A influência da poesia no seu trabalho é notória, como é exemplo o álbum a solo Time before and time after, lançado em 2015, com cada composição a ser dedicada a um poeta, sendo um deles Fernando Pessoa.
Presença em 11 álbuns da editora ECM, tocou e gravou com alguns dos principais músicos da actualidade, como Tim Berne ou Craig Taborn.
Apresenta-se pela primeira vez a solo em Portugal.
